Protective cover for combustion or electric motorcycle

A membrane-based, waterproof and at the same time vapour-permeable cover to protect your combustion or electric motorcycle from adverse environmental influences. Weatherproof cover made entirely of a highly vapour-permeable membrane. Waterproof even in heavy rain and at the same time vapour-permeable, wicking away moisture from under the cover. Protects against rain, snow, frost and sunlight (harmful UV) as well as contaminants such as dust, bird droppings and tree sap. Reduces corrosion and ageing of plastic parts, protects against fading and tarnishing of paintwork and chrome parts.  Suitable for long or short-term outdoor storage of a combustion motorcycle or short-term storage of an electric motorcycle. Also suitable for indoor use. A drawstring and additional fasteners underneath the motorcycle protect the cover from being ripped off by wind. Holes in the cover allow the motorcycle to be attached by the front wheel with the cover using a lock or chain.

The cover is made entirely of a 4-layer membrane, which is thick, strong and durable, as well as waterproof and highly vapour-permeable. The cover protects the entire vehicle from harmful environmental influences. The Optimal Garage cover provides adequate protection for your vehicle throughout the year. Its functionality can be appreciated in every season. In winter, it prevents snow, frost and ice from settling and is resistant to freezing; in autumn, it protects against rain, wind, leaves and tree sap; and in summer and spring, it protects against UV rays, dust and bird droppings.

Material composition:

-double-layer SPUNBOND

-high vapour-permeable membrane

-single-layer SPUNBOND

Thanks to its special design, steam and moisture are constantly vented to the outside, and rainwater runs down the side walls of the cover without penetrating underneath.

Below is a report on the vapour permeability of the membrane used to manufacture Optimal Garage covers. The test was carried out in an independent research laboratory.

A vapour permeability rating of 317 means that 317 g of water vapour passed through one square metre of KB Textil 400 grey membrane in 24 hours at a temperature of approx. 20 degrees Celsius. Waterproofness with a score of 550 means that the KB Textil 400 grey membrane only became wet at a water column height of 550 cm (i.e. 5500 mm), which means that the membrane is completely waterproof even during heavy and prolonged rain.

Quality and durability were proven by testing

The durability of the tarpaulins is determined by their resistance to sunlight (UV), high temperatures, rain, frost, snow and natural dirt. Our specialists have developed effective methods for testing the resistance of materials to outdoor conditions based on their long-standing environmental tests and test standards PN-EN ISO 4892-3. Every batch of materials from which Kegel-Błażusiak covers are produced is carefully examined in the Atlas UVtest ageing chamber from the USA. Thanks to the quality control of materials and long-term environmental tests, we guarantee our customers several years of the durability of our tarpaulins and covers even in intensive use.

Functionality and security proven by tests

Good tarpaulin covers should not only protect the car from precipitation, pollution and sunlight but should also be safe.  These are our Kegel-Błażusiak covers-tarpaulins. Our specialists carry out long-term tests of our covers-tarpaulins. We carry out tests for the effectiveness of protection of the vehicle by the cover-tarpaulin against weather conditions and water resistance, steam evacuation from under the cover, the safety of the cover for the vehicle paint coating and the effectiveness of fastening the cover on the vehicle in normal and extreme weather conditions. Our company Kegel-Błażusiak produces only those products that pass long-term tests.

Polyethylene + Polypropylene

1 cover for combustion or electric motorcycle

Park the motorcycle in a place sheltered from wind in a way that prevents the motorcycle from tipping over. Place the cover with the printed side outwards on a clean and dry motorcycle, after the exhaust pipe and all engine components have cooled down (combustion motorcycle) or the power has been switched off (electric motorcycle). Cross the turnbuckle cords and pull them tightly directing the forces parallel to the rear of the motorcycle (see figure 2). Tie the turnbuckle cords and check that the knot does not loosen when the turnbuckle is pulled. If the knot loosens, repeat the operation by changing the tying method. Then fasten the cover under the motorcycle with Velcro-type straps sewn into the lower inner side of the cover. Ensure that both pairs of Velcro straps under the motorcycle are securely fastened. Do not use the cover when charging the motorcycle  acumulator/battery or when transporting the motorcycle on uncovered luggage racks and car transporters. Do not use the cover if damaged, dirty on the inside or leaking.
