The Basic Garage cover is a highly functional product that will meet the expectations of all customers. The motto of this product series is excellent quality at an affordable price.

Weather-resistant cover made of a highly vapour-permeable membrane in the upper part. Protects against rain, snow, frost and sunlight (harmful UV rays) as well as contaminants such as dust, bird droppings and tree sap.

Thanks to a wide range of shapes and sizes, the covers in this series (as well as our other covers) are well suited to specific cars. Manufactured in Poland, mainly from Polish raw materials, in compliance with all European Union quality standards. Years of experience and an increasingly sophisticated product range mean that KEGEL-BŁAŻUSIAK covers can be described as the best in Poland.

Layers

Material composition: 4 layers

-double-layer SPUNBOND

-high vapour-permeable membrane

-single-layer SPUNBOND

The upper part of the cover is made of a 4-layer material, which is thick, strong and durable. It is waterproof and wicks moisture away from under the cover. Smooth SPUNBOND on the inside, does not scratch the vehicle.

The sides of the cover are double-layered, made of double-layer SPUNBOND non-woven fabric. The sides of the cover are highly vapour-permeable and water-resistant. Thanks to this design, water vapour and moisture are constantly wicked away to the outside, and rainwater runs down the sides of the cover without penetrating it.

A car covered with a regular cover, standing on wet ground in a 'water vapour bubble', is exposed to damage. When the wet ground evaporates, all the water vapour settles on the car, which can cause significant damage to the paintwork and also lead to mould growth. A car covered with our cover is not exposed to these factors, as it allows all the water vapour to evaporate and escape outside. Your car will be safe in our cover. Competitors' covers are often completely airtight and do not allow water vapour to pass through, which can be very dangerous for your car and cause more harm than good.

Product advantages:

- multi-season product;

- protection against: snow, frost, rain, wind, leaves, tree sap, UV radiation, bird droppings, pollen;

- protects against: corrosion, fading, tarnishing of paintwork and chrome elements;

- smooth underside material does not scratch the vehicle;

- covers the entire vehicle, slightly overlapping underneath;

- easy to store and transport – does not take up much space;

- thanks to the fastening with a rope puller and additional elastic fastening straps, it stays firmly attached to the vehicle;

- at above-zero ambient temperatures, it removes moisture accumulating under the cover to the outside.

When choosing a tarpaulin, we recommend that you consider the shape and length of your car first and foremost. The determining factor is the photo showing the shape of the car that the cover fits.

  1. Compare the shape of your car with the product photo.
  2. You should measure your car, paying particular attention to its length.
  3. The final dimension is the circumference of the car, measured at the height of the bumper (the circumference of the car must not exceed the dimension specified in the car cover description – it must be slightly smaller or equal).

The textile material from which the car cover is made will fit both slightly smaller and larger cars of a similar shape and size not exceeding the circumference specified above.

ATTENTION!

The cover is intended for use on a parked car, therefore it cannot be used when transporting a car on open tow trucks or other vehicles. Using the cover on a vehicle with damaged, worn or defective paintwork does not protect against the appearance of hidden defects and further degradation of the paintwork. A cover that is damaged or dirty on the inside must not be used.

Do not put the cover on a dirty car or a car that has been treated with a chemical product that emits vapours, or before the product has completely hardened.

Below is a report on the vapour permeability of the membrane used to manufacture the upper part of the cover. The test was carried out in an independent research laboratory.

A vapour permeability rating of 317 means that 317 g of water vapour passed through one square metre of KB Textil 400 grey membrane in 24 hours at a temperature of approx. 20 degrees Celsius. Waterproofness with a score of 550 means that the KB Textil 400 grey membrane only became wet at a water column height of 550 cm (i.e. 5500 mm), which means that the membrane is completely waterproof even during heavy and prolonged rain.

Quality and durability were proven by testing

The durability of the tarpaulins is determined by their resistance to sunlight (UV), high temperatures, rain, frost, snow and natural dirt. Our specialists have developed effective methods for testing the resistance of materials to outdoor conditions based on their long-standing environmental tests and test standards PN-EN ISO 4892-3. Every batch of materials from which Kegel-Błażusiak covers are produced is carefully examined in the Atlas UVtest ageing chamber from the USA. Thanks to the quality control of materials and long-term environmental tests, we guarantee our customers several years of the durability of our tarpaulins and covers even in intensive use.

Functionality and security proven by tests

Good tarpaulin covers should not only protect the car from precipitation, pollution and sunlight but should also be safe.  These are our Kegel-Błażusiak covers-tarpaulins. Our specialists carry out long-term tests of our covers-tarpaulins. We carry out tests for the effectiveness of protection of the vehicle by the cover-tarpaulin against weather conditions and water resistance, steam evacuation from under the cover, the safety of the cover for the vehicle paint coating and the effectiveness of fastening the cover on the vehicle in normal and extreme weather conditions. Our company Kegel-Błażusiak produces only those products that pass long-term tests.

Before fitting the cover to the car, fold down the side mirrors and fold or unscrew the aerial. Place the cover on a clean and dry car with the printed side facing outwards. To make it easier to position the cover correctly on the car, the cover is sewn into the cover with the FRONT label on the front of the cover and the REAR label on the back of the cover (the markings coincide with the front and back of the car).

  • Cross the drawstring cords to form the first knot and then pull the cords tight, directing the forces parallel to the rear edge of the vehicle (see figure 2).
  • Tie the drawstring cords and check that the knot does not loosen when the drawstring is pulled.
  • If the knot loosens, repeat the operation by changing the tying method.

A cover that is damaged, wet, frosted or soiled on the inside may not be used. Do not put the cover on a dirty or wet car. Do not put the cover on a car covered with frost, ice or snow. Do not apply the cover to a car that has been treated with a chemical preparation before the preparation has fully evaporated and cured. If the car has had a ceramic or similar coating applied, do not put the cover on for 1 month from the date of coating. If the car has had a paint repair, do not put the cover on for 3 months from the date of the last painting.
